On August 30, 2019, Comvita, New Zealand's iconic local brand airborne Shanghai Lujiazui LMall, opened the 200-square-meter Manuka honey natural world experience space, introduced Convita Manuka honey from the source The process of going to the shelf, from New Zealand to China.

At the opening ceremony, Comvita co-founder Alan Bougen, NZTE Greater China Regional Director Fiona Acheson, Chinese supermarket chain Ole' senior purchasing manager Zhang Haibin and Kang Weihe regional general manager Wang Wei attended the event.

China's big portals and online opinion leaders have interacted with brands. The entire experience space restores the New Zealand plant environment, virtual experience of the growth environment of VR Manuka flowers, New Zealand beehives and the brand's 45-year history. In addition to the attendees, more than 67 million people watched the live broadcast of the opening ceremony.  He said: "China is our biggest sales market. We hope that through such a large-scale marketing campaign, we will solemnly announce the launch of Kangwei UMF Manuka Honey's new packaging, which is Kangwei UMF Manuka Honey. Another milestone!

Comvita's Manuka honey is very popular in China. As of June 30, 2019, Comvita's annual sales in China was $552 million. Since the company officially entered the market in 2004, more than 100 Converse brand retail stores have opened in China. In addition to the well-known Jingdong, Tmall and koala e-commerce platforms, Comvita also cooperates with China Resources' high-end boutique supermarket Ole' to bring its products to more Chinese consumers. In April 2019, Comvita acquired the remaining 49% of its Chinese distribution business, Kangweihe Food (China) Co., Ltd.

Although the new honey jar still inherits the consistent red image of Comvita™ in Chinese consumers, the new UMF™ Manuka honey package incorporates the decoration of bees and Manuka flower totems, and Converse on the bottle cap. The logo is more anti-counterfeiting. A delicate handbook is placed in the boxed Manuka honey, and traceable information on honey is recorded in the manual. Comvita's co-founder Alan Bougen has left an autograph on the product packaging, representing a high recognition of the brand's reputation.

In May 2019, Comvita ushered in his 45th birthday. As the world's largest producer and distributor of Manuka honey, Comvita is sold to 52 countries and regions and operates 9 e-commerce sites.

Alan tells everyone, “Comvita has never relaxed the quality of its products. Since we established our brand in the small village of the Bay of Plenty in 1974, we have been committed to creating reliable and effective natural products from the pure nature of New Zealand, and with the world.
